You may wish to turn issues off for your repository if you're trying to concentrate on a problem, or to send a message that your project is not actively accepting contributions.
In the top right corner of any page, click your username.
On your profile page, click the Repositories tab, then click the name of your repository.
- In your repository's right sidebar, click Settings.
- Under Features, unselect the Issues checkbox.
The issues previously added will still be available if you decide to enable issues again in the future.
